QualTex Laboratories adds ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for microbiology in San Antonio, Atlanta

QualTex Laboratories, a subsidiary of San Antonio-based nonprofit BioBridge Global (BBG), has earned ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the ANSI National Accreditation Board for its microbiology testing laboratories in San Antonio and Atlanta. The accreditation demonstrates QualTex's commitment to quality and accuracy in its facilities. ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for competence in testing and calibration laboratories.

San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- QualTex Laboratories, a subsidiary of San Antonio-based nonprofit BioBridge Global (BBG), has earned ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the ANSI National Accreditation Board for its microbiology testing laboratories in San Antonio and Atlanta.

Before earning ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, QualTex had already achieved FDA registration, TGA and CLIA certifications for its microbiology testing laboratories, and ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system.

The QualTex laboratories in the San Antonio and Atlanta earned ISO/IEC 17025 for environmental monitoring, tissue sample sterility and bacterial identification. San Antonio’s microbiology testing laboratory is also accredited for bioburden and sterility testing.

The accreditation process includes an independent assessment of a laboratory's methods, personnel, equipment and quality management system against rigorous international standards. It is designed to ensure test results are accurate, reliable and reproducible.
